DEAE cellulose is diethyl aminoethyl cellulose. It is a kind of anion exchanger, fibrous or granular. Its exchange groups is -O-CH2-CH2-N(C2H5)。As the column chromatography separation material, DEAE cellulose is one of the most widely used ion exchange cellulose. It is not soluble in ethanol, water, acid and dilute alkalids. It is usually used in separation of neutral and acidic proteins, polysaccharides, nucleic acids, amino acids, enzyme, plant extrat, and other substances.
